Tell us about your background. What did you do prior to your A-Society employment?
It’s quite similar to what I used to work with in Mexico but with a new perspective from an OEM point of view. Today I’m more involved in the development phase of the projects.
What is your current role?
I started my current position as Supplier Development Engineer for Volvo through A Society in May 2022. This is my first position in the US. It’s quite similar to what I used to work with in Mexico but with a new perspective from an OEM point of view. Today I’m more involved in the development phase of the projects.
How does it feel to work in a new environment?
It is a big challenge to step away from my comfort zone in Mexico and move to a new country where I need to sort out all the practical elements to be able to live in the country. It is though very exiting with this new adventure in my life to both improve on personal and professional level.
What is encouraging and motivating you in your current assignment?
The environment and company organisation here at Volvo Trucks are great. My Volvo colleagues are always helpful. I very much enjoy the Volvo culture where I constantly are on the verge of expanding my knowledge. I feel it is very interesting to be able to focus on niched activities as SDE.
